Ikran - Video up for Download - 15/02/10

Hi guys!

After seeing Avatar for the third time this weekend I had an idea for a ride and immediatly got to work. I'm extremely happy about the layout and almost finished with the supports. I tried to make some unique supports and I've been getting mixed reations about them, so please tell me what you think.

Enjoy!

What do I think? Well, the words "WOW" and "AMAZING" come to mind.
But the ride looks FANTASTIC. Great use of the in-game pieces, and I love the mixture of the jungle greenery and the white rocks. (Not to mention those crazy supports... They look really cool!)

That is out of this world!!

I think the first picture died of support overload, however.

Czek, it looks awesome! However, I'm not sold on the wood supports. It's a cool concept, but I don't think it looks that great and I'm doubtful of it's real life viability. Hey, that's what I think. Either way, it'll be a cool project.

Thanky guys!

Well here are some new pictures. I modified the wooden support structure a little. Since I'm on holiday at the moment, I've been spending way too much time on RCT3 during the last couple of days I'm about 70% done now!

Hope you like it!

The supports are very different, but i actually like them. I love it when people don't apply the "rules" to their creations.

The themeing and scenery is picture perfect as usual mate, i like this a lot

haha The big and the Epic is becoming your new forte! This is looking incredible and everything is flowing well together.

The supports on the loop are very creative and although wood and steel realisticaly arent the best at connecting like you make it seem, it still turned out to be fantastic.

To say that I am amazed would be a grave understatement. You've definitely captured the "jungle" feel of Pandora, along with the natural beauty and flow of the ride. While I'm still not a fan of the first loop's support structure, the rest of the ride, including the way it interacts with the scenery, is beyond words to describe. They say that Avatar was not a movie, but a world. Similarly, this is no longer a ride--this is an experience.

Wow, really nice!
The supports of the loop, looks unstable, but really nice!
The station is also nice to theming integrated!
All in all it's really nice!

Can't really say I like all the wooden supports on/around the coaster, but it definitely is UNIQUE. The ride, terrain, & scenery are so blissful. Everything is just so perfect, it seems. Great job!!

I was going to name a flying coaster in my new park Ikran. Too bad it won't be this good.

wow... looks very good

but the wood supports on the loop are a bit to much (in my opinion) but still very original and good looking

Bloody hell, the lighting and theming are magnificent! Just before morning is easily the best time to take photos, and it really sets an atmosphere for you ride - fantastic stuff.

The theming is class! The rocks are very well placed, I know how hard it is to make them look natural, and you've done it! I also love the waterfalls, the vegetation, and the ride in general! Keep it up, this looks class!

Thanks a lot guys!

RCT_Crazy: Can't wait to see your version!

chrisy177: Yeah, I love taking pictures early in the morning when the sky is that orange!

I'm progressing kinda slowly at the moment. I've been adding more and more detail and experimenting a bit more with the vegetation: the difficult part will be lighting all of this up at night since I want to put night and day POVs in the video.

I still have to finish all the surroundings and the entrance and most important add lots of mist. Then I can finally get to work on the video. The supports on the first picture where inspired by JRCH's Manic Miner

A few more pictures:

I'm trying out this game on the different forums: The first to guess to correct number of Fishpeople I used so far will get an exclusive overview picture. So one person per forum can win an overview shot

Enjoy!

Yeah, I LOVE the vegetation, and it really looks like the best Avatar-Inspired coaster yet! The fish people really work, and the scenery is all really awesome. Are you going to try making sky island things?

I got 7.

Amazing work. I tried copying the "overgrown" style but I failed. Your creation is magnificent. What scenery did you use, and did you disable scenery/scenery collision?

Drowning Star is going to be the winner. There are 5 fish people. He shows 2 of them about 2-3 times. Grtz Star, and if you don't win, I'll be baffled.

You guys gotta remember that he shows some of the same pictures at different angles and such. Some of the fish people are the same fish people you see in previous pictures, thus still making it only 1 fish person
