(REL)'Classic Timber'(REL)Whitewash Timber'

CLASSIC TIMBER<<
Whitewash Timbers<<Here
I made this set as a trial to see what it would do .
It is 19 pieces that can be used to support wooden coasters.

Have Fun!!

Thats awesome MGP! It's good to have a different type of wooden support, it looks very different to BigBurger's Timber Pieces which is good as it allows for a different feel for the coaster! I really like it! What size pieces and angles etc have you included in the set?

Its kinda goofy on the angles , but this is something I put together this morning and it works pretty good You can assemble separate sections and save them as componants .
it has 8h posts, and 6h, slopes and diagonals ,the positioning is a little weird because of the way I made the set and wrote the Ase's but it all works , The 4h post is only 3h it seems.

Also when useing posts rotate them to vary the wood pattern. This is not the best set , but a couple hours in Sketch-up , an Hour with the importer , and a couple hours in game. Not bad for one days work.

Really nice job MGP! Altough you don't think it's your best I do think it's your best, you're growing with every piece you make.

Thanks for your effort

Nice job, MGP. I'm surprised at how quickly you've picked up the CS making! I can't seem to wrap my mind around it. Can never have enough good timber--and the textures here are great.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put in, not only in this set, but the others you've released. I've been playing around with them, and I must say, they're well made.

Even though it is a timber set, it does look different from BigBurger's sets, which I do use commonly. I'm sure that I will use this set as well, and it should give a different feel to the wooden roller coasters created in RollerCoaster Tycoon 3.

Thanks for all the comments, I am glad to see this has alot of excitement.
This is just the first test of this idea , I have found a few problems with the ease of use with this trial ,
but I plan to fix these things and maybe make another set with a slightly differant colortone.

This looks excellent. Please don't take this the wrong way, but what separates these from other wooden support sets?

Heavy timber, looks great. Not really that much around over 30 cm. This really fills a need. Did you consider metal connector plates or something to hold these bits together?

I really like that lighter texture MGP. I think it works well both as a sun-bleached look and it also looks a lot like white-washed wood - I like it more than a solid white, and I think it matches the in-game textures on the coaster really well too. Very nice job!

All of the slope pieces are set up on 1/4 tile corners, so if it slopes up it can also be reversed to slope out, like in your diagram.Duh....

Thanks , It does look good in-game and seems to really match the in-game textures well.

I am revising this set to have both textures , and maybe one more color variation once I get all the models placed and sized right. I will post some shots(of the set)as soon as I get all the pieces tested to place and look the way I want them.
I may include a couple of pre-assembled support componants to help with the larger things.

yeah, I think you're referring to the girders set with its metal connectors. I was going to mention that in my post, but didn't because the likelyhood of it all fitting happily together seemed so unlikely. I haven't checked, though.

I did notice the piece, but none of the other pieces used it so I thought it might be a bit of underlying scenery peeking through--and what you have done is exactly what I was talking about. Real nice MGP.
